It gets even better because his middle name Emanuel is Hebrew for God with us. And Wilson the root of his name will, could represent his will. and Dale is a common way of saying an empty valley. So his whole name is symbolic of his desire his will of becoming a god among men, but it ultimately ends up empty like a valley.

He truly is genuinely a well written character and there are so many layers to his existence. He's become the very thing he avoided. From bullied as a young boy for no reason to being hated by the internet for continuing to choose to be who he is. he is egotistical and prideful and hateful, with a deluded sense of the world. By distancing himself from the world he attempts to make himself untouchable, running from the fact that who he chooses be is an awful person who must be accountable for his awful actions and words, and he sees this as him becoming a "god". however he remains the most touchable, he unable to reconcile with the fact that what people say about him affects him, he is uncomfortable with his perception and has covered it with so much pride that he'd rather have the world "leave him alone" than recognize he does care and that he does want to be apart of this world, that he wants be loved by it and accepted in it. Yet his pride and villainy makes it so he cannot, and he will never accept that, because to him he cannot be wrong, to his core he believes himself a underdog and a dreamer who defies the natural world rather than admit he is perverted and in need to change like any other man. "Low tier god", internally stratifies himself from society and blames it for his problems, and in his ultimate hubris he makes the statement that is his unbecoming "if im still streaming in 6 years, im a failure" a statement that a so call god made to himself, a goal, and a dream, meant to ridicule others- the "normies", the "average"- and meant to show how different he is from others, a statement made from pride about himself. In failing to reach this goal Dale Emmanuel Wilson, who dubbed himself a "God" in comparison to averge men, failed at something he assured himself to be factual in his own "god" based world view, and in his being. In failing, he is confronted with the fact that he is fallible and as average as any other man and the men he deemed himself beneath him. yet he will not accept it, even after doomsdale. Even while doomed he cannot accept that he is the problem, he has not a shred of humility, and if he did this would not be the spectacle it was

I believe one of the most interesting paralels to dale wilsons life is don quixote. both create heavily grandoise images of themselves in a knight of great honor and the persona "lowtiergod". they immediately start percieving actual reality through that lens. don quixote becomes manic from reading books, and dale from fighting games. they both also immediately come to terms with many contradictions of their personas but do not accept it and infact find ways to go around it to keep the persona up. for example, don quixote does not accept that what he is seeing is a religious procession, but a women in need of saving. and even when the people around him laugh and mock, he himself still continues to fuel the reality that he is don quixote the mighty knight of la mancha. for dale, every single time he loses in street fighter or any other game he blames internet, mechanics, etc. he keeps portraying AND believing that he himself is greater than he is. the main contradiction is don quioxte fully believes it, but dale might be aware out of stream and comes to terms that he is not a low tier god everytime he turns off the camera. another paralel is sancho panza, the servant of don quixote, WE are sanncho. sancho constantly acts as the mediater between reality and the fiction of don quixote. he constantly states the reality of the world but when don quixote states differently he often accepts it out of absurdity. finally, (dont read on if you want spoilers for the great novel don quixote of la mancha part 2). don quixote becomes aware and comes to terms with the fact that he is not a mighy knight don quixote, but rather a sad old man deathly ill. Because the fantasy gave his life meaning. When he is on his deathbed, when everyone hated him and his antics, when he passed they all realized his life gave them a little bit of absurdity and something out of the ordinary they otherwise wouldnt have seen. and they laugh and cry.
