The first time I saw a professional frontend developer’s screen, I was honestly scared. 😂 I remember looking at the screen and seeing files everywhere. Folders inside folders. Components. Pages. Assets. Hooks. Utilities. Configurations. And I kept asking myself: “Where did all these files come from?” At that time, I was still learning frontend development with what I thought were the only things I needed: HTML. CSS. JavaScript. Maybe an `.env` file when I needed to hide some secret keys. So whenever I saw a professional developer working on a project with dozens, sometimes hundreds, of files, I felt like I was missing something. I wondered if I would ever get to that level. Then I started learning React. And suddenly, things began to make sense. I realized that building a real application is very different from creating a simple webpage. React introduced me to components. Instead of putting everything into one huge file, I could break the application into smaller, reusable pieces. A navbar could be a component. A button could be a component. A form could be a component. A page could be made up of several components. And before I knew it, my project had more files than I could have imagined when I first started learning frontend. But this time, I wasn't afraid of the files. I understood why they were there. That experience taught me something important: Sometimes, what looks complicated is simply something you haven't learned how to understand yet. Every professional developer you admire once opened a project and wondered, “What am I looking at?” So if you're learning frontend and your screen still looks simple, don't feel behind. Today, you may only have your HTML, CSS and JavaScript files. Tomorrow, you might be the developer with folders everywhere—and someone else might look at your screen and wonder: “Where did he get all these files?” 😂 Keep learning. One concept at a time.
