I have a theory. I think that after the first movie they thought they lifted the curse but then Sally lost Gary (which is why he’s not in this film) and in her grief she maybe cast a spell that her daughters would forget they were witches and binds their powers and then have them live as normal a life as possible but warned them about falling in love by telling them those “stories.” But then everything gets revealed and then they try to truly break the curse in this film.

****SPOILER ALERT!!!!🚨 ***** To everyone asking, I watched it a couple days ago at the Hollywood premiere, they don’t remember because Sally made them not remember after the death of her 2nd husband, she doesn’t want them to go through what she did. So the girls FAINTLY remember but it’s like a blur and was always told that it was just a rumor from the people in town. It will explain in the 2nd movie in more detail. It was SUCH a good movie!
