almost had the same thing happen to me, however it gave me a false dead god and achievements I hadn't deserved.

guys if your data gets corrupted you can can use alt+f2 in secrets and to get your marks you need to download a mod called character shenanigans, (it needs repentogon) and to get your marks back press the ~ key in the character selection menu and choose the mark you want.
