Not necessarily for example, Isaac inherited a position, and he became more and more prosperous. His story is not one of long suffering before elevation. Same with Boaz. He is already wealthy when Ruth enters the story. So, I don’t know. I would say that it’s more of a motif than a rule. It shows up a lot, but I would not say that it’s a universal formula in the Bible.
