@jori.zoestbergen: China is extremely strict. That’s what I was told in Europe. 🇨🇳 Rules everywhere. Authority everywhere. No room to breathe. We land, grab our suitcases, and walk toward the exit. They ask us to put our bags through a scanner. So far, exactly what I expected. Then my buddy jams the entire machine with his oversized suitcase. The belt stops. Everything freezes. And then nothing happens. Security doesn’t rush. They don’t react. Actually they don’t seem to care at all. So we continue and I see this serious-looking MP at the exit. Full uniform. Stone face. But he barely looks at us. No flexing. No power move. He was just chillin. Where is this rigid authority I was warned about? Follow me for more China adventures 👀
