"The problem was...It was a lie." That's certainly one problem but baaaack up... You posited rhetorically: "Surely 🔪💀 babies would justify ANYTHING Israel did in response." It wouldn't. That's what people need to understand. Because that's not how justice works. The blood of the innocent can never pay for the crimes of those who committed them. The innocent are not guilty and not deserving of retaliation. That would be vicarious justice. It alarms me how many people think vicarious justice is morally acceptable. It's based on prejudice and supremacy, necessarily. No one endorsing vicarious justice would ever think that THEIR in-group should be targeted for the actions of others like them.
