Failure Modes (FMI Types) Depending on the specific Failure Mode Indicator (FMI) logged alongside the code: FMI 02 (CAN / Implausible Signal): The ECU detects an inconsistent or logical discrepancy between the ambient atmospheric pressure and the boost pressure reading. FMI 03 (Signal Too High / Short to Battery): Voltage on the signal pin exceeds maximum threshold (usually >4.75V). FMI 04 (Signal Too Low / Short to Ground / Open Circuit): Signal voltage drops below threshold (usually <0.25V). FMI 12 (Signal Not Plausible): Reading does not match expected engine operating conditions. Common Symptoms Engine power reduction / limp mode (yellow warning light).
