Aoyama was crying for help and trying to rebel AFO all throughout the series if you actually look at it in the USJ he wanted people to look for him trying to fail the final exam so he wouldn't go to the training camp and give the villains the location trying to fail the provisional license exams to isolate himself from his class so he'd potentially stop leaking information trying to connect with Midoriya since he knows he's got the highest chances of saving him

adding to the second one, I always thought that eri and shigaraki resemble each other on purpose, they have the same eyes and hair color and in season 5 when shigaraki's hair turned white it also showed that it's too late and he can't be saved anymore
