@fisherzhangs_in_china: So, the big day finally arrived, and my daughter officially started primary school here in China alongside her older brother! No matter how many people tell me we’ve made the wrong decision by sending our kids to a Chinese school, I stand by the choice my wife and I have made. We’ve thought long and hard about what’s best for them, and I genuinely believe that, overall, growing up and studying here at the local primary school in my wife’s hometown in Fuxin, northeast China, is the right path for our family. It certainly won’t always be easy, and I’m sure there’ll be challenges along the way, but for now, I’m incredibly excited to see where this next chapter takes us!

No you haven’t I was a foreign teacher at Guangzhou Phoenix City. It was awesome. The kids were great and the teachers local and foreign were great.

As someone who has been to Chinese school, western school, and international school - Chinese school is great for elementary but western or international is better for high school.

I think primary is ok it's when you get to higher education that the times and homework is far too much they dont get a chance to have a life. (ref - Cindy and her dad's page on tiktok)

As a teacher who has taught in a Chinese primary school and an English secondary school, ultimately I don’t think it matters as long as Millie is happy. Both have great education and teachers that care. It looks like Millie is already happy and your son is thriving and happy too. That’s all that does matter

From the outside it looks brighter and has more space than my old school in London. But as you say time will tell, hope she has a great time.

My son teaches in China. He has taught in Primary and secondary schools for 7 years. Before that he taught in England. He has said that Chinese schools are better overall. The students mindset is better, but some parents are a little aggressive about their children's education.

keep you kids in China ! they will be more grounded, disciplined and learn a lot more ! it will be challenging at times , but their foundation phase prepared them well ! just look how excited she is ! ho anywhere else and you'll find kids crying and throwing tantrums on their 1st few days sometimes even weeks of school ! so good job so far !!
