@drkentbazard: We Can Be Heroes. For those of us who grew up watching Transformers, Optimus Prime was more than a big red and blue robot. He represented something. Strength without arrogance. Leadership without selfishness. Courage without recklessness. And perhaps most importantly—the understanding that being powerful doesn't mean you can't also be compassionate. Peter Cullen gave that character his voice for more than 40 years. But what made Optimus special wasn't how powerful he was. It was what he chose to do with that power. That's why this quote hits differently today: "We can be heroes in our own lives, every one of us." You don't need a cape. You don't need an audience. And you certainly don't need anybody calling you a hero. Sometimes being a hero is simply showing up. Taking care of your children. Standing by your friends. Doing the right thing when doing the wrong thing would be easier. Helping somebody who can't do anything for you in return. Carrying your responsibilities when they get heavy. Real heroism usually een dramatic. Most times nobody even watching. Peter Cullen's brother famously gave him the advice that helped create the Optimus Prime we came to know: be strong enough to be gentle. That's a serious lesson for all of us.
