Thank you this is a perfect take. As someone who had an ex who was corn addicted I’ve felt all those feelings. When I got into my current healthy relationship and expressed boundaries they were met. They were not crossed. I have no problem with my man playing Gta6 because I know how he’s going to play it. Hes not going to be play for the woman or strip clubs or the relationship aspect of it. Hes not even crazy excited to play the game. I think I’m more excited to play than he is🤣 however if I was in a relationship like my previous I would be super upset, nervous, worried and spiraling. I agree and do believe if your feeling like you need to control what your man intakes wether it be the game or shows and movies, it’s your gut telling you something is wrong. It is trying to get you to look inward and be really honest if this is right for you. Because a healthy man isn’t going to be playing a game for the women. There are men out there that can control themselves. Our world will always have sex apart of it. That’s life. How we handle ourselves around it is the important part. Sex isn’t wrong or bad and shouldn’t be something to control. What you can control is whether or not you are able to be in a relationship where you feel disrespected and if you have to control someone to make them respect you then it isn’t even respect in the first place. I wish everyone healthy happy relationships and I hope people recognize you don’t have to control the people who will genuinely respect you.
