All 3 mothers were wrong in this episode tbh. They also could have simply given Amanda helpful advice or feedback instead of judging her and going behind her back. Amanda was being a permissive parent but only because she didn't want to be like her own mother, but she also didn't know how to not be like her mother. Her mother and mil gave her no helpful feedback what-so-ever and I think it just made Amanda double down because she felt her authority being threatened.
