@xtravel.madeira: 🚫 DON’T GO TO CABO GIRÃO Yes, I said it 😅 Cabo Girão is one of the most famous places in Madeira, but for me it’s also one of the most overrated. You’ll pay €5 per person to enter, and then you’ll probably find yourself surrounded by crowds, tour groups and people trying to take exactly the same photo. 📸 A private photo on the famous glass platform? Very unlikely. And the glass itself is another disappointment. It sounds dramatic in photos and videos, but in reality the panels are so scratched and cloudy that they are practically opaque in many places. For me, the cliff is much more impressive when you see it FROM A DISTANCE. 🌊⛰️ Madeira has dozens of viewpoints I would choose instead, with better scenery, more atmosphere and much better chances to actually enjoy the place.
