Log into your router (the address is on the sticker on the back, usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1), find the DNS settings, and change the primary to 1.1.1.2 and the secondary to 1.0.0.2. That’s Cloudflare’s malware and phishing filter. Want it to block adult sites as well? Use 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 instead. Save, restart the router, done. Every device on your wifi is now covered, the laptops, the iPads, the smart TV, the PlayStation, the kids’ phones. For more detailed instructions for every router and device, check the LINK IN BIO. To be fair this stops devices reaching known bad sites, it doesn’t clean malware already on a machine, and a teenager on mobile data or a VPN walks around it, so pair it with Screen Time or Family Link for the older kids.
