@dumbleboree: Happy anniversary to Alan and Rima✨ ​Even though they only had three years together as a married couple, Rima was Alan’s lifelong partner—they were actually together for almost 50 years. ​I’ve always loved how their relationship worked: how calm Alan would get whenever she was around, the way he held her, the way he mentioned her repeatedly in his diaries, and how deeply he respected her choices. They were both so intelligent and kind. ​The deep love Rima had for Alan was also proven by her actions. Even after Alan passed away, Rima kept honoring his birthday. She even became an ambassador for Pancreatic Cancer UK, taking on so many cancer initiatives in memory of Alan after losing him to the disease. ​Alan would be so proud of her.
