@thesunnahguy: One of the biggest lies we unknowingly tell ourselves is: “I’ll sort it out later.” "I’ll call them later." "I’ll apologise when things calm down." "I’ll forgive them eventually." "I’ll visit when I’m less busy." We live as though every relationship comes with a guaranteed next conversation. It doesn’t. And that’s what makes life so frightening sometimes. You can argue with someone in the morning and assume you’ll speak again that evening. You can ignore your mum’s call thinking you’ll ring her tomorrow. You can leave someone you love on bad terms because your ego tells you there’ll be another opportunity to fix it. Until there isn’t. And suddenly the argument you thought mattered becomes completely irrelevant. The apology becomes useless sitting inside your chest. And you’d give anything just to hear their voice one more time. As I’ve got older, I’ve become much less interested in winning arguments with people I love. Sometimes you’re right. Sometimes they’re wrong. But not every disagreement deserves days of silence. Not every mistake deserves a grudge. And not every apology needs to wait until the other person apologises first. There’s a different kind of peace that comes from knowing you left people well. You said what needed to be said. You forgave. You apologised. You told them you loved them. You didn’t allow your ego to turn something temporary into a regret you’ll carry forever. None of us know which conversation will be our last. So speak gently. Forgive quickly. Apologise sincerely. And never become so comfortable with someone’s presence that you start assuming Allah has promised you another day with them. Because sometimes there is no “next time.”
Lost my younger brother my best friend last year and words can’t express my pain. It has drawn me closer to our religion. Thank you for sharing your advice, means a lot.

True because my only brother passed away three months ago going on four months next month and I never thought in all my life he wouldn’t make it to my wedding one day… never make it to my kids birth(when I have one). Never squeeze me tightly like he always does. Never gives me knuckle squeezes in my hair…. Never laugh the same laugh….. I lost my gaming buddy… lost the only person who supported me being bi… it’s like once you bury them in the ground you can’t go forward.

it was too late it already passed away speak to people in a way that if today was your last conversation with them you would have no regrets tomorrow your last conversation with someone never feel like your last conversation nobody finishes a conversation thinking it will be the last one that's why we let our ego get away apologies and leave conversations
