I live in British Columbia. I heard it was a piece of land that broke away. if you watch closely you can see the trees move with the waves. It probably sunk.

You can see the trees moving with the waves, which tells me it has no solid landmass underneath it. so the person commenting it could be a turtle seems silly but if this bundle of trees is diving under the water it would make sense.
