you gotta defeat the standing enemies but it seems that they are bugged for you for some reason so you should try re-entering the game again!

honestly i left it alone and then came back way later in my exploration, i think you gotta unlock some stuff (not sure what) because when i came back it gave me the option to fight those and get the chest, maybe a bug?
