I get what you’re saying, but forgiveness takes time. We’re all human and bringing up a past situation can make those old feelings resurface, even if you do forgive the person.

something i’ve learned is that healing and forgiveness is a process. u can say u forgive someone, but u don’t have to totally move and forget about it in like a day or something. but then ig it depends as well, there are some ppl that will genuinely hold it over ur head to constantly guilt trip u

Maybe it’s the guilt of keeping the person around and staying they haven’t forgiven themselves either haven’t truly sat with how they felt about the situation
