My best friend has had a bpd friend before and she asked me if she was mine when I told her I had bpd..... she is but that girl gets it and as a result she is healing me so much. She always tells me what's going on if it's going to be a change in communication and anything I am struggling with if I can try to slow the split she is able to realize it's not "real" ..... I hit her car and she jumped up said it's okay! I love you! Gave me a hug and the spiral stopped. That and therapy has been a game changer in bpd.

As someone who was unwillingly deemed a favorite person to someone, it is not you that is their favorite, it's the version they think will stay the most attached to them. It is not a healthy dynamic.

the type of emotional support and reassurance needed to be given round the clock is exhausting especially when u have ur own struggles. its not all good there is a lot of bad that they go through. if they question r love or loyalty for a second it destroys them. from my experience

I was someone's favorite person once and he was actually really mean to me. He held me to this ridiculous standard and when I wasn't on the pedestal, he acted as if I was totally subhuman. There was no in-between.

Been with my life partner for 17 years, she is diagnosed with BPD. So many people see that terminology “favorite person” and they only think of the word favorite. Which is a huge mistake. Keep doin your stuff dude I’m rootin for ya! :)

like i will actually scream in your face because you said something to me in a tone i didn’t like and tell you to stfu and then 5 minutes later will come to you and stand awkwardly without saying a word waiting for you to call me over so i can make sure you’re not mad at me so i can say sorry and if you DONT call me over i will start the fight all over again and go away for another 5 minutes just to do it all over again until you call me over. you don’t want to be a FP.
