@robertshermantv: (AUGUST 31): Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released updated figures on last week’s devastating flash floods, and the numbers are grim. So far, 903 bodies have been recovered, while roughly 4,200 people remain unaccounted for — a figure that has nearly doubled since the weekend as more communities are reached. More than 10,000 people have been rescued so far, including over 323 foreign nationals. But the ministry says around 590 foreign nationals from 39 countries are still missing. The floods, believed to have been triggered by a glacier or ice collapse near the Nepal-Tibet border, struck last Wednesday and swept away homes, roads, bridges and hydropower facilities across northern and central Nepal. Search and rescue efforts remain ongoing nearly a week later, with international teams from India, China and South Korea assisting on the ground.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
