Bro, I think that’s more of a personal opinion. There’s one important thing you’re missing, when it comes to IT, most companies are not only looking at your college degree or how long you spent studying. They’re mainly looking for someone who is technically capable and can actually do the job.
Look at technologies like Salesforce and other platforms in the IT industry. Many of them offer certification based training rather than requiring you to spend years studying the technology in college. So it’s not necessarily about how long you study it’s about how effectively you use that time.
If you’re a good student, committed and willing to study and practice seriously, three months can be enough to build a strong foundation and prepare yourself for an entry level opportunity. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s easy. It takes commitment, hard work, practice and sometimes guidance from experienced people who can show you what to focus on and how the industry actually works. In my idea your statement is 80% false for me.

Bless you! This is so true. Thank you for bringing this up and for helping create awareness. Our community really lacks this kind of sharing and support. There are so many free resources through the county, state, community colleges, libraries and other programs that people should know about before spending thousands of dollars.
I don’t know all the details as well about what this person promised or what connections he claimed to have, so I can’t speak on that specifically. But as a systems engineer who works with complex infrastructure and technology, I can tell you the job market is nowhere near as easy as some people make it sound. Even highly skilled people with years of experience and strong academic backgrounds are struggling to land good jobs right now. So telling someone with little or no technical background that a few months of training will basically lead to a $100K+ job is something people really need to think twice about.
You don’t necessarily need a degree to get into tech, but you do need real knowledge, strong fundamentals and the ability to actually compete. Learning some coding alone doesn’t guarantee a career.
We really need more people sharing honest information and free resources with each other instead of taking advantage of people who are just trying to build a better future. This absolutely needs more awareness.

It’s not a scam. Ppl gets a job by taking short courses and boot camps. But it still it will depend on the person skill set and experience also how fast the person can learn. The problem most ppl didn’t succeed because the haven’t done their research what it takes to get a job. That was on them not the trainer!

trying not to be judgmental here but majority of people (like 80%) want shortcuts in life like in anything esp our community so if you don’t get tired for long my guy, keep educating but again ገደል ካልገባ አይማርም ብዙ ሰው።
