Ok so all of these videos definitely enlightens one to notice that they truly are wasting their time investing in unhealthy relationships. I’m not sure if I’ve missed the ones that help you navigate the emotional instability that comes from trying to cut ties with that relationship. The hot/cold nice/evil happy/mad that becomes the new standard and treatment once you set your boundaries. How does one rebuild their ability to no longer consider and tippy toe around that persons expectations and reactions after 20 years of putting them first? I honestly feel like I don’t know how to think for myself anymore.

It’s always my tone. He could be in the wrong but if I speak to him in the “wrong tone” (my voice, apparently) then that’s why he’s being an asshole to me - because I’m such a bitch all the time. So I say ok cool well let’s just move on then since we can’t figure this out and suddenly he doesn’t want that 🥴

Ooh ooh! I got one!! How about when he would constantly scream sneeze and scare the shit out of me and then tell me “can’t help it” but then sneezes like a normal person other times. How dare I ask him to stop, complain about it, and finally towards the end how dare I yell at him about it after the millionth time with adrenaline and heart racing from him scaring the shit out of me and just being sick to death of him not caring how much it affected me. Ugh.

He complains “it’s the same topic, over and over the same thing” when it’s not and it’s slightly different but same behaviors causing another thing. Call out a behavior and he takes it as “you call me a selfish narcissist” when you just called out selfish and narcissistic behaviors. They hear it a way and then believe that vs what you’re actually saying. No matter how calm and non emotional you got. Exhausting and sad.
