Note: if you do in fact need to turn off the breaker to the whole house do not just flip the main. Turn of each individual breaker first then the main and when you turn it back on you turn on the main then turn on each breaker one by one as to not overload the system creating potential issues

If you’re updating outlets, why wouldn’t you get the ones that also have the usb-c with it for charging phones. I also like the back-to-back connection instead of j hooks. And get the screwless covers. Classes up the room

Looks like you wrapped the hot the wrong direction on the screw. That box had ground wire wrapped around the clamp screw. I would have added a ground screw and ground wire pigtail from the box to the receptacle.

Do not cut wires! Just disconnect them. May be too short to work with if you cut them 👍👍👍

That’s not a plug. It’s a receptacle. A plug is inserted into the receptacle.

he put the wires on the wrong way the curve is goin the wrong way turn the curve wire in the direction of tightening the screw.the way he is doin it will push the wire out as he tightens the screw 💯
