mshirer12 :
Advertisers are to blame too as their ads sell young people on the luxury lifestyle as their start line to adulthood.

Comparing now to a lifetime ago is wild to me. There was no Starbucks on every corner, cellphones were bigger than a briefcase, life was wholly different. But, back then, it was understood what entry level meant and what it took to work your way up. There's always a way and there's always a path, sometimes you have to give up something to get something but, you always gotta do something to get there.

Sunshine55 :
We have a younger generation who expects and demand immediate gratification. That’s is the result of their parents giving entitlement instead of responsibility. The older generations were not coddled by parents. You went to work after graduation or you went to college where you paid your college loans, not their parents. A lot of success is started by motivation…..not by handouts

logic lion :
We are part to blame. We raised our kids with our success. Their norm and lifestyle is all these wonderful things and they can’t appreciate them because they didn’t earn them. So when they step into the real world they are highly disappointed and feel entitled

Yes. Young people want instant gratification and when they don’t get it, they want to tear down the entire system. It’s crazy.

Thank you!! They are completely ignoring the fact that a starving college student was a rite of passage and young people lived on bare necessities while they worked multiple jobs and saved up for the better things!!
