Honestly, from my experience, it wasn't at all like what you described. I first spoke to the surgeon, and they put the anesthetic, and then the surgery was over. I'm not lying, it wasn't pitch black or anything, just a normal blinking sensation. And the reason for that is because your brain shuts down, making you lose your sense of time because your consciousness is in your brain. So, it wasn't like what you described it was just like blinking

I’ve been under so many times, and when you wake up, it literally feels like only a second went by. I had surgery recently that was 4 hours long, and when I woke up, it felt like I had just blinked. 😭 Also, whenever they put the stuff in my IV, it always feels so warm and my eyes immediately get heavy.
