My thing is with the Jeffrey Epstein files. And how a lot of people including the victims, and people speaking out against Hollywood were just saying it’s not one of them it’s all of them… and all of them attend every year, including Amazon‘s owner, Jeff Bezos, who runs one of the biggest online shopping centers, but not with a lot of controversial and ethical questions being raised. Jeff is one of the leading donors and continuous honorary cochair .. I’m just confused at where the outrage starts and stops.

If people think it’s just antisemitism that is in his past, they haven’t read up. The antisemitism is just the one time that was caught on camera. The hate speech stories would have piled up if they went forward - anti-Asian, anti black, all of it. He was loud and proud about his hate.

Big donors threatened to stop/pull their contributions to the MET Costume Institute if the exhibition went ahead. That’s probably why John mentioned in his statement that he didn’t want to “put the MET in a difficult position” aka them losing $ over it.
