While I agree with you on buying used and no loan, changing vehicles that often is still a financial burden. At the end of the day, you still spending $30k additional every 2 years. If you keep your vehicle for 10years, provided that it’s working good, imagine how much money you will save. In most cases, It cheaper to fix that replace.I have a 2013 suv with over 220,000km and still going strong. If your vehicle not broken, don’t change it. Put that money in a high interest account ( UTC) instead.

Me and my ex broke up because of this. He bought a brand new Mazda for $200k listen he fully regrets it. Struggling to pay for it. He 2 years in and have 5 more to go. Because he’s now completely broke without a dollar to spare he is mean that’s why I ended it. He hates his life. If it’s not working he going he can’t move that car because his gas is for work and home literally can’t afford gas outside of going to work.

one key thing some people don't want to understand is good things take some time and not everything can come at once. this strategy you discussed is spot on in my opinion 👍

it's a good strategy but hoping to buy a vehicle let's say 85k in good condition is rare, sometimes you upgrade and go right back down because you bought one for 150k and then have to spend over 30k to fix because it has some hidden problems. so it's risky.

Almost the same thing I did but use the credit union and paid lumpsums. I kept my vehicle for no more than 3 years and kept it in excellent condition to get the best offer price possible. Sometimes you cant escape loans but you can manage the interest via Credit union. Now it can be BMW, Benz.....🇹🇹

As with everything in this world, this has pros and cons. I could argue that taking a loan for a 2-3 year old low mileage foreign used as your 1st vehicle is the best option. You “saving” 10k/30k/50k etc every couple years in between vehicles to sell and upgrade isnt much different from paying a loan installments. Plus you may have gotten blessed with good vehicles throughout but not everybody else doing this might be so fortunate…one bad transmission/engine and you back to square 1
