@noumanalikhan.bayyinah: The universe is locked down because the Quran is coming down; meanwhile, here I am wondering whether there is time this week to study the Quran, with so many activities and distractions pulling at me. How clueless can a person actually be? Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan on the gap between what was going on above and what anybody below noticed. Makkah was no better; they were standing directly underneath the whole thing saying they used to like this man, that they did not know why he was saying these things, then asking whether he could bring them a different Quran because they did not much care for this one. Ahmed Al-Issa :

Its basically to prevent Jinns from tampering with the revelation "Narrated Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه): “Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) went out along with a group of his companions towards Ukaz Market. At that time something intervened between the devils and the news of the Heaven, and flames were sent down upon them, so the devils returned. Their fellow-devils said, “What is wrong with you?” They said, “Something has intervened between us and the news of the Heaven, and fires (flames) have been shot at us.” Their fellow-devils said, “Nothing has intervened between you and the news of the Heaven, but an important event has happened."
