@findbestvocals: Nene Royal, the stage name of 16-year-old Thai singer-guitarist Rattikarn Amloy from Phuket, returned to the America’s Got Talent Season 21 stage for the Live Quarterfinals on August 25, 2026. For this performance, she took on Soundgarden’s 1994 grunge classic “Black Hole Sun,” a very different choice from her earlier AGT performances. She had first made a major impression during her audition with The Cranberries’ “Zombie,” then performed Muse’s “Hysteria” during the Judges’ Callbacks to advance to the live shows. The quarterfinal performance showed why Nene has been getting so much attention: she wasn’t simply singing the song—she was playing lead guitar live while handling the demanding vocals, including an extended guitar solo. Her version kept the dark, atmospheric character of the original while giving it a more aggressive live-rock energy.
