@autecunture: Honeyland (2019) is an Oscar nominated Macedonian documentary which follows the life of Hatidže Muratova, a Turkish woman living in a remote Macedonian village, she's one of Europe's last traditional wild beekeepers. Hatidže lives with her ailing mother in a home without electricity or running water. She practices ancient beekeeping methods, following a vital golden rule: “Half for the bees, half for us.” Her peaceful life is upended when a chaotic nomadic family arrives with a caravan, seven children, and a herd of cattle. The family decides to take up beekeeping for profit.
