@lainebobs: Share if you can relate😅 Millennials are travelling like they’re retired 😂✈️ Because we watched our parents work their whole lives, constantly saying “we’ll do it when we retire”… And then retirement came around and suddenly there was no time, no energy, or sometimes sadly no health to actually do all those things they’d been waiting for. 😭 And honestly? We took notes 😂 So millennials are basically like… Yeahhhh… we’re not doing that. We’re travelling NOW. While we’ve got the energy to drag a suitcase through an airport at 5am, hike up a mountain, spend 12 hours walking around a city and still somehow go out for drinks after. 😂 We’d rather have a slightly questionable bank balance and a camera roll full of memories than wait until some magical point in the future when everything is “perfect”. Because let’s be honest… when is everything ever actually perfect? We’re taking the holidays. We’re booking the flights. We’re saying yes to the trips that make us think “maybe we probably shouldn’t be spending that much…”😂 We’re choosing experiences over stuff. And I think a big part of it comes from watching our parents put everything off. Work hard. Save. Buy the house. Wait. Wait some more. Then travel when you retire. Except… life doesn’t always go to plan. So maybe we’ve decided to do things a little differently. Not because we don’t care about work, saving money, having a home or being sensible… But because we also want to actually enjoy our lives while we’re living them.🥹❤️ And I want my future kids to look back and say: “My parents took us places. We saw things. We had adventures. We made memories.” Not “They were always waiting for the right time.” Because the right time might not magically appear. So yeah… if you see me booking another holiday when I probably should be saving money… mind your business.
