I don’t know when I will retire… I am 40. But I have set myself up to be able to do part time at 59.5 (if I want to) with my Roth IRA and tradition Roth. Then wait to get Social Security. Live off that while I let my 403b continue to make money until I have to withdrawal. I will have roughly 1.2 million in my 403b by 49 (hopefully).

If I didn’t need medical insurance I definitely would take it at 62. But unfortunately I’ll need Medicare so will be waiting until 65😫

I just spoke with Social Security this morning, if you're making an upper class salary and up you won't get anything at all, assuming you're still working, it's better if you check with them

Part of me wants to take it at 62 as well. Financial planner says to delay and optimize Roth conversions. I’m not convinced, it’s like a gamble if it will even exist when I’m much older.

Will your plan still be 62 if they do reduction pay? It Is showing that they may end up doing a 22% reduction by 2032 for all if the shortage isn’t fix. So then you would have a 30% reduction off the lower amount. Would you still be doing it?
