The whole time I was just like “oh this poor poor boy” I would be worried that if this was any other character that due to what his parents did to him he had lost the feeling of empathy, but my hope is that in actuality the story will be that he found it in spite of them. That the human heart overpowers any conditioning to try and turn it off.

Finally! Some understanding of nuance. Half the people saying it’s gone woke and the other half saying Bernadette did the right thing. The show is telling us the Guardians don’t care about race they want fearless, loyal soldiers. John Sr dodged a bullet. John Stewart is about to learn that.
