Its only bad if you're not actively trying to stop sinning. Someone that genuinely hates their sin and tries their best to stop is different from some that sins and says, "It doesn't matter, God will forgive me anyway".

I've started to realize I dont have the ability of getting rid of my sins through willpower alone. Christ alone can deliver me from them. I pray that in time he will change my heart, so that I hate sin as much as he does. Until then the only thing I can give him is the promise that every time I fall , I will get up again. I feel like despair is the devil's greatest trick

I was cutting myself for going to confession almost 3 years but the Lord somehow grabbed me this august, I was so relieved. I didn't plan it but the occasion for confession came to me unexpectedly. I was praying the Lord and the virgin Mary to give me the courage and they did. So father you're very right. The mercy never fails.

I have a particular sin i strive hard to stop, but its been an addiction for 17 years. I try hard but after couple of weeks or a week in some cases i come back to confess it. I go behind screen but i can tell father knows its me and i can hear through his voice he is getting tired of hearing me confess this and even sometimes asks if im really trying to beat this sin (which i do try). But that attitude and such remarks make me not want to return. I don’t give up but its tough.

Father, sometimes I fall into my temptation to sin, and I find myself thinking it’s ok to do it bc I can go to confession. The thought disgusts me after, but sometimes I fail to not sin. Especially with lust. I feel so ashamed bc I know I should love God more than sin, but I feel so weak sometimes. Are there any littany’s, or tips you suggest to redirect my focus during those times?

Father, I have a question, what happens if I have OCD, and I tend to fall into scrupulosity.. some times i don’t now if i should go to Confession or if i should just wait and trust in the confiteor… and I’m afraid to abuse the sacrament.. i only want to do what is right.. and many times i don’t know.. i really try..
