Yes, grocery stores are a really great way to talk about capitalism. Here you have an abundance of food and yet people do not have enough money to buy them. And now your face with the Achilles heel of capitalism: crisis of overproduction. Thanks WSJ 💀🙃

Here me out . I was born in Soviet Union. At the best time of economic prosperity Soviet stores could provide only a very limited sorts of food choices. Beggars can’t be choosers. But in my childhood I only saw the empty shelves long lines and food stamps where you can buy some groceries on a very rationed budget.

The place where people struggle to buy one of life’s necessities is a great example of capitalism, I agree

“All competing with eachother” and every brand can be traced to the same few massive corporations that actually cooperate with eachother to keep prices as high as they possibly can without causing civil unrest.

The main reason groceries have gotten more expensive is tariffs which is a movement away from capitalism. It's also a tax on the rich that trickles down to the poor.

Wow that's an incredibly ironic video. Why aren't you discussing why an identical grocery cart in the US costs like 1/5th as much in the UK because our government allows corporations to starve people to death for profit
