@doctorsood: Low-dose naltrexone, or LDN, is being studied as another option for conditions like fibromyalgia and other chronic pain or inflammatory conditions. It’s not meant to replace a full treatment plan, and whether it’s appropriate for you should be discussed with a healthcare professional. I’ve partnered with AgelessRx, a leading authority for LDN, to help educate people about this treatment option. Use code DRSOOD10 if you want to explore their platform. Laura, FNP ✨ Health + Life :
Duloxetine 60mg is FDA approved and guideline supported for fibromyalgia and has stronger evidence for improving pain and symptoms. There’s still very limited evidence supporting the efficacy of low dose naltrexone for fibromyalgia but we’ll see.

Doesn’t do anything for pain. Mood maybe. But it’s not covered by insurance and it’s expensive

I started it almost 5 months ago and it doesn’t kill my pain but it knocks the edge off. Works better than hydrocodone for me

Does naltrexone have acetaminophen or an NSAIDS in it? I’m allergic to acetaminophen and all NSAIDS so finding treatment for pain is a challenge.

Made me incredibly sick. Was prescribed for fibromyalgia and caused migraine, dizziness, reduced vision, sensitivity to light, nausea and 20 minute hot flashes.

I started taking duloxetine and it has helped my chronic pain so much! If this didn’t help, we were going to LDN next.

This should not be suggested for anything more than mild pain, and even then has low effectiveness.

the "saved my life but if i miss one pain comes screaming back" comment literally hit me so hard 😭 this constant back and forth with treatments is so draining. i started logging my meds and how i feel after in the Endora app, an app where i can see my symptoms evolve week to week, cause otherwise i just forget what helps what...💝
