The world had spent years believing that nothing had happened that day. But something had happened. Someone had stood between Earth and destruction, and Los had paid the ultimate price so that billions of people could wake up the next morning. The astronomer closed the archive, tears in his eyes, whispering the words history had forgotten: “We were saved… and we never even knew.”When the truth was finally revealed, the world fell silent. Flags were lowered, lights were dimmed, and millions gathered in cities across the globe to honor the man who had saved them without ever asking for anything in return. Schools taught his name, memorials were built in his honor, and every July, people looked toward the Sun and remembered Los. July 12 became a national holiday for the sacrifice of Los. RIP Los.
