Nearly every student carries a glowing Halo above their head and is equipped with modern firearms and heavy weaponry. After the sudden disappearance of the General Student Council President, order begins to fracture. Crime rises, corporate interests meddle, inter-school tensions escalate, and various threats emerge across the city. You are summoned to lead SCHALE, an organization granted authority that can override ordinary school regulations. Your mission is to resolve the constant incidents that plague Kivotos—helping clubs and academies with their crises, mediating conflicts, and gradually uncovering the larger mysteries surrounding the missing president and the city’s hidden systems. You are supported by a sentient AI named Arona who resides in a powerful tablet device called the Shittim Chest. The narrative unfolds through main story volumes that spotlight different schools and groups in turn. Early arcs focus on struggling academies fighting for survival, later ones explore political treaties, underground organizations, technological experiments, and city-wide existential threats. Alongside the central plot, the game places heavy emphasis on individual character stories, club activities, and personal relationships built through conversations, shared experiences, and affinity systems. Everyday slice-of-life moments sit side-by-side with high-stakes tactical operations. Gameplay centers on forming squads of up to six units: four Strikers who operate on the battlefield and two Specials who provide support from the rear. Battles play out in real time on side-scrolling maps featuring cover, positioning, and movement. Units auto-attack and seek cover, while you manually time and aim their powerful EX skills. Team composition matters—balancing roles such as tanks, damage dealers, healers, and supports—along with elemental or type matchups and gear progression. New characters are primarily obtained through a gacha recruitment system, though many can also be earned or farmed through regular play and events. Beyond combat, the experience revolves around bonding with the cast: private chats, café interactions, relationship episodes, and small daily moments that reveal each student’s personality, motivations, and growth.
