if someone dies from a car accident, everyone says that the cause of death was a car crash, when it’s obv the injuries the car crash caused. no one says “they died from injuries” but everyone will say “they died from a car accident”. also, most people survive car accidents, they’re not necessarily deadly

by that same logic, no one dies of a heart attack. they die from the lack of circulation of metabolic waste and gas exchange (and we can go further and further at a cellular level). like do people not realise that's how diseases and like everything that can kill you works?? like for some things sure we have to look at it on a more cellular level to see what it caused that caused symptoms or death, but that path of causes still exists. something causes something that causes something that causes something until we get to the thing that we already can see 😭 i'm sorry you have to deal with these people, and i'm also really sorry for your loss :(
