I didn’t think when I started my travels that a lot of the places I would photograph and document might actually one day not be there and it breaks my heart as I watch what is unfolding across the country. One day we’ll have to answer to future generations how we let this happen. Essentially, a private developer that owns 83 acres next to Yosemite wants access through the National Park to build a road to a planned upscale development. Similar proposals have been rejected before. This is the first administration to seriously consider allowing it, which could set a dangerous precedent for private development in protected public lands across the country. How much longer will our lands look like this? I’d hate to imagine a world 100 years from now where these places no longer exist and we question whether pictures and videos like this of these magnificent places from the past are even real or just AI renderings of a world that never even existed. Keep your fucking hands off Yosemite.
