Do what ever you need to do that brings you comfort. The back roads roadtrip with her riding next to you sounds like a great way to honor her memory. When my daughter passed, we took some of her ashes to a glass blower and had necklaces made for her kids and myself. It's comforting to wear the necklace.

me and my little sister got our mom a cute box. it's big and purple and it has a bow on it. we took her with us to pick it. and we decorated the inside. it's been 2 years.. we get real weird about it. you just do whatever feels good, whatever moves you. never second guess it. 💜🩷

Just wait until to fly to Maine with her ashes and security takes them, opens them, and digs thru them to make sure you're not bringing weapons on board. That was my experience bringing my Mom back to Arkansas. Standing in McCarren Airport at 4am sobbing while some lady dug thru my mom.

I get the feeling. My dad died when I was 18 during the pandemic from cancer. Im 24 now. This is his shrine I made. I still call his urn dad bc its another form of his physical body even tho his spirit is elsewhere.

I lost my dad 3 weeks ago today. Put her in the front seat. Play the songs youd listen to. Sing your heart out. Treat it as if she is there with you…I firmly believe she is in some way shape or form. Also, I highly suggest you keep a tiny bit of ashes in maybe a keepsake necklace. I think itll mean a lot to have even the tiniest part of her around when you need. Cuz no matter how old we get we always feel the need for our parents at times…sending you love. 💛
