Hey former g tube mama here if you squeeze the two blue things before putting it into the machine it primes 15 times faster than the machine does ! If you have any questions feel free to message me. We were g tube for over 2 years !!!

You don’t want to prime into the food, because it will let more air into the bag and you don’t want air going through the button into her stomach - you want to let the air escape and then have food filling the tubing

You can prime back into the bag, but it’s technically not recommended because you want the bag shut. If the bag is open when you prime, you’re giving it a higher chance for air bubbles. Prime into another container / garbage can. but it’s really not a lot that you’re going to loose. It’s just safer. - I cared with someone with ALS, & had a tube feed.

Previous g tube mama. To prime faster you can squeeze the the green part together and it will go faster. Everyone saying don’t prime the bag you need to so all the air doesn’t go into her stomach. You don’t have to put extra you can run a little bit of water through her extension to get it all
