If you do open carry dont be this guy, atleast have some situational awareness, and at least a level 3 holster... there is a video of a guy getting revealed of his in this same situation and ended up unaliving... this was in South Dakota #secondamendment #concealcarry #gunsafteymatters

I think open carry is more of a look-at-me thing. And in reality, it'll backfire on them, because it makes them public enemy number one.

Its a protected right. Why make an issue of it? To say you can't open carry in a violation of the 2nd. "shall not be infringed upon". It's his right, so why make an issue of it.
