I’m 42 now and I can still smell the grass, feel the water splash up on my legs from the morning dew, and I long for the burst of energy that you get after scoring a goal.

Needed this. Doesn’t matter the level of football you’ll miss it one day🥀

30 next year. Riddled with ankle and knee issues. Wife tells me to hang em up every Saturday, every mid week fixture. But I work all week just to step on the pitch with my brothers and fight for 3 points. I honestly can’t see my time without ball. It scares me honestly 🤣

I’m 38 on Friday. My football days are long over. If you’re young. Enjoy those moments on and off the pitch 🙏

31 & 2 years post ACL and this video is 🎯 on why I got back playing. Always remember an assistant manager at a team I was at.. Friday night under lights and he goes “I would give anything on this life for 5 mins on that pitch.” Couldn’t understand then, do now 💯

I will never ever accept a "hursh truth" that I should ever hang up the boots. It wont matter the level, the quality or the team. I'll always pull up to practice 3-4 times a week for the rest of my life
