I can know what I'm going through, and I can explain it to doctors, but I can't get them to listen or prescribe meds I know I need... it's beyond frustrating, they seem to balk at a patient "telling them their job" when it's just a patient explaining symptoms

I knew I was different but it wasn’t until I had my son at 41 and he was diagnosed with AudHD at 3 that I realized we are the same. I saw me in him. Then I decided to get tested but because I knew how to mask for so long I was deemed not to have ADHD just anxiety and depression! So I just manage my quirks!

I hate having adhd!!! My life & career have suffered as a result. 57 and feel like I'm still so far behind... like I've been running in place for years. Finances are a mess... fck!!!!!
