What if you mainly have buttock pain (possibly piriformis) but also “sciatic nerve pain” but it bypasses the thigh section and just feel it laterally to the calve?

I have been sitting on a heating pad for 12+ years. Kitchen chairs, no problem, try the couch and I can’t sit. I have a heating pad on the couch or I can’t sit.

Does piriformis also have muscle cramp? Outside of my hip and butt have muscle knot on side that hurts. Cant get it to stretch away.

Do either of these cause nerve pain like tenderness/pain when touching the skin just above the knee and upper thigh area? Also when walking but not muscle pain.

Let’s take it a step deeper. How do you differentiate piriformis syndrome with sacroiliac joint dysfunction? Sounds like they have the same symptoms.
