I’ve had so many people asking lately about supermarket soup options as we head into the colder months — and I just found one in Dunnes that’s definitely worth checking out. It’s gluten free, dairy free, and contains only organic veg — but what I love in particular is the inclusion of cannellini beans, which brings the fibre content to a higher level than most supermarket soups. So many of us in Ireland and the UK are deficient in fibre so being mindful of how much fibre is in the foods you’re buying is a wise thing to do. While there is a small bit of sugar added, the overall sugar content is low compared to most supermarket soups and you’d often add a little sugar to a tomato based soup when making it at home too. I haven’t seen this brand before, but it’s made in Galway and certified organic (it has the EU organic logo I’ve talked about before!)
