my dad lost his 5 year old daughter 5 years before I was born, I'm 23 years old now and he still has pictures of her in his wallet and she's his phone wallpaper and he still mentions her frequently. at my oldest sister's wedding he completely broke down crying because she would never get to experience any of this. you never forget you just learn to live with it
